Re: Wind Down of Rinker Brand
One of my best friends just bought a used Rinker (25 foot deck boat 350 Mag Blll with Corsa Captain's Call side hull exhaust). He bought it because, in his words "I doesn't worry me that they are going out of business, they made great boats with strong hulls." That is pretty much what people say about Rinkers around here. Great boats. I believe their value will endure. BTW there were three couples looking at that boat. Compared to local Chaparrals and Regals they look like a bargain! Don't worry guys you have awesome boats and the general public knows it!
So, this is right out my window, taken a couple of days ago - THREE - Rinkers. Where I boat people LOVE their Rinkers. :-)

Re: What did you do to your boat today
Finally launched boat Monday, after a delay from Covid kept boaters from doing work on their boats. Finished installing the new charger and isolator, and assembled and installed new Mantus anchor. Found a great spot to install new mount for iPad to display VVM that I set up last year. So good to be on the water again.

Re: Hill 4 blade props
Same for my 330, numbers are right on the money. 5000 RPM at WOT.Black_Diamond said:The #1 when choosing pitch is to make sure you are in the WOT rpm range for your engines. Too much pitch you lug the engines, too little and you can over rev.For my 342, the 20P 4x4’s are the win.

Re: Hill 4 blade props
i was at a local boat show {Australia} early this year and was at the Mercruiser booth and on display was a combo 4 and 3 blade prop for the bravo 3 stern drive. It was a Mercruiser part number. They admitting that many of the early cruisers were over propped. My 340 FV was way over propped with 24p props and 260 hp tbi engines. I had already contacted Hills and then i spoke with the local Solas distributor at the same show and they gave me a good deal on a combo 4 and 3 blade 21p.
What a change, before i was really struggling to get on the plane now it just jumps up and you are away and way quieter and engines are not working as hard. I am not worried about max speed or mpg. Its the way to go. Here is a pic of the props with numbers shown.
