2 questions: Gear ratio and swim platform

2001 Rinker 340 with the Horizon motors, what ratio should my outdrives have?

Also since my boat is out of the water, I am thinking of relocating my swim platform and raising it about 8 inches, since it sits level with the water and causes tons of drag. Anyone ever attempted?  Doesnt seem too difficult.

I believe the gear ratio is 2.2. The swim platfrom could get very complex. Note it is bolted to the hull at piont the hull is very strong and thick if you raise it you will be in the top part of the boat so i don't think it is nearly as stong. It is also molded to the shape of the boat at that hieght.

To be positive on the gear ratio have some turn the motor by hand and count the rotation of the prop.
