Getting that shine back

So, mechanical stuff being under control I really need to get the fiberglass back in shape.
When we got the boat four years ago it was in ok shape but needed love. I wet sanded the outside and buffed away and got it looking pretty good using 3m heavy oxidized finish and it held up pretty good for a year- that was two years ago. The cockpit area u have used the same but have not wet sanded...it is clean and smooth but just does not have that shine I'm looking for...so am I just going to have to get some wet paper and go over everything to get it looking good? I wish I could keep it out of the sun....fighting a losing battle...
