We installed new cockpit Berber carpets this summer and it came with the snaps loose. Decided to lay it without installing them and found they stay in place, also easier to remove for cleaning the deck.

I believe it is the start up that is the problem. I remember someone on this site talking about a soft start mechanism that can be installed on the air conditioner to allow it to run on the small generator

Back to the boat covering conversation I use a 40 ft RV cover its light weight and has lasted 3 years so far... also the snow does not like sticking to it.. it almost looks like shrink wrap!

This cover has paid for itself twice now over the last 10 winters. I believe they charge close to 20 per foot at my marina for LOA. At 43 ft, that's just crazy!
I used to own a Fischer cover for my 310. Great cover, but was heavy and stinky. This one is less than half the weight of my 310s.
