Houston is one of the main ports for fuel distribution. They had to dip into the reserves to keep all supplies going. Yep prices here jumped in the last week also.
......and don't think a Tesla will save you. My neighbor bought a Tesla a year ago - the expensive one. Had a charging station built into his parking space in our condo. Can you imagine the price of doing that? $$$$$ Seemed fine for around town and some highway trips. Last winter he decided to drive it from here (Brockville, Canada) to his winter home in Palm Springs, Calif. I heard it didn't go so well. I heard you only get 400km or less per charge, then it's go fine the closest charging station and wait in line. Your trips are governed by where the charging stations are. When he returned in the spring I noticed he left the Tesla in Palm Springs and brought the Mercedes back. Ha Ha.....Probably the reason electric car sales are so cr*ppy. IMO the idea of a car is to have some personal choice and freedom.
@Handymans342 , Diesel has not moved a penny here. I heard if our Canadian refiners did not raise the prices to match that of the US, our supply would be scooped up by big wholesalers causing shortages in Canada. Can't win.
Wait until this weekend. That is the same price at our pumps. I didn't fill up the boat when I got back from our trip (bad move), so I only put 40 gallons in the genny side this past weekend. It was $3.43 at the marina! Should go down soon.
