So, I need to purchase a new (stainless steel) latch..any ideas where I can get one?

If it's the same as mine it's called a slam latch.  Pretty much any marine retailer should have them.

Thanks - that helps a lot (I actually only need the piece that it latches to).  it looks like amazon sells those too - THANKS for the help!
