Water Pump

I have a 2018 370EX and the water pump is the loudest that I have ever heard. Other boaters have even asked us about it during stays at various marinas. When water is turned on, when the ice maker is working, it makes a loud high pitched noise. I have thought about replacing the pump, modifying the install. Any suggestions?

Are you hooked up to shore water at the same time????

Someone years ago reinstalled the pump with heavy duty rubber hoses to dampen the noise from the pump.

The pump should be a low frequency noise, not high pitched.

Wasn't hooked up to shore water. Guess I should try that, see if it makes a difference.

May try the rubber hoses and a new pump while I am at it, couldn't hurt.

Can you post a photo of the pump and how it's mounted? Maybe a video so we can hear it?

If it's a high-pitched sound, I'd suspect a problem with the pump. A normal pump that's mounted incorrectly can be noisy, but it will usually be low-frequency noise.

Ye call your dealer and have them order a new pump

I agree with LaRea, mounting can make all the difference. I am one of those that put both the rubber hoses and an accumulator tank. Since under warranty, let dealer work with it.
