  Pinion gear for rack & pinion type steering. Should have name of manufacture on steering rack and/or cable assembly.

  That goes to your flux capacitor- you should get that put right back in or you will go down in a black hole never to be seen again!

  Can you do a search on the brand name of the steering column. Model number should be on there somewhere.

  Sometime the  model number is on the cable it self. Sold by the foot. If that gear is chewed up then the other is probably bad too.
