Settling into the new format, but still trying to offer help when needed, like we all did on the old board.  Hopefully, this will become just as close of a knit family as the old forum.  For those who don't know me, I am Gary, and my wife is Diane.  Our 290FV is the Nauti Bonnie.  We slip in Laconia, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee.

The Boat is in the water and ready to go.  Now, just need the weather.

    Gary, That's a pretty snug/cozy fit back in there. I'm sure it's tricky if there's any breeze w/o twins or a bow thruster (maybe your 290 has twins and a BT though). You have my respect getting in/out of there either way. Welcome aboard and have a great season on the lake. MnK

    Hey Everyone. Glad to be back amongst the crew.  

    Miike, sure is a tight fit.  I forward in to the port side between two bows, and then reverse my swim platform towards my dock and hit the twin drives opposite to start the swing.  I have about 2 feet of clearance on that swing.  Not a lot of room for mistakes.  Makes sure I don't partake in the adult beverages until I am back at the dock.  Don't need to put any scrap marks in those fancy Formulas.

    I imagine docking in that slip comes with a pretty high "pucker" factor. Much respect to your captain abilities. I would be seeking a different slip

    I had four slips in two years, because of a change on both of our boats.  I had one of the mini deck cruiser slips, but back in right at the exposed side of a brand new 35' formula gave me more puckers than I could handle.  This full deck slip works out pretty good for us.  That **** anchor on the bow of my boat still gives me willies when swinging it around near other boats.  I've thought about dropping it to gain an extra 10 inches.  It surely keeps my alcohol consumption down to barely anything....until she is docked.
