DC fridge run time

How long should the fridge in my 2000 242 run on 1 battery? I tried it for about 3 hours, and it ran the battery down enough that I had to switch batteries to start it. I just got the boat, and don't how old the batteries are.

I get about 6 to 8 hours longer if it is turned down to a lower setting. I will have it turned all the way up when under way then I go to about half when stoped. You can have the battery load tested to see how good it is.
