I noticed that there is drive fluid dripping where the rear cover mates to the upper unit. I can not tell if its coming from the top cap or the rear cover. My thoughts are to drain the fluid and replace the top cap O-ring and the rear cover seal. I looked at the manual on line and it calls for a special 3m sealant. Is this a pretty straight forward job or is there something lurking there I need to be aware of? I cant seem to find this 3m sealant so I am thinking of using "Perfect Seal". Does this just go on the seal itself or should I use it on the surface around the seal?

Thanks @YYZRC , I always worry there is something that's going to act like pop goes the weasel when you remove the cover.

You can see the spring loaded shift detent ball in the lower pic. It pushes the cover off somewhat. Other than that it is an uneventful process.

When you remove your cover, make sure that ball moves in and out freely. It can cause shifting issues if not.

I replaced my shift detents @aero3113 - was trying to resolve sticky shift behavior. It ended up being the shift cable to the drive that was binding.

I didn’t remove the top so I can’t say.
