  I'm guessing there was some kind of air pocket inside the cheese.  We warmed it up the same way we've done many times before, about 30 seconds and then stir.  But this time, BAM!  We were literally rolling on the floor laughing!
  
  It exploded with enough force to send flying cheese up into the vents.  I had to use a shop vac to get it out.  I can only hope I got enough that I won't need a new microwave.

  I see an Ad for Tostitos - "Tostitos -  our cheese is so lively - it can't be contained"  or "Tostitos - our excitement is explosive"....ok maybe not that one on a boat!

  BTW @LaRea - exactly what are you and the Admiral using that melted cheese for?.....and don't try that "kids" thing on me as they all do KD! Melted cheese is big kid stuff - tangy for the adults - No?  :-)
