I noticed there is a water pickup mid ship? I didn't dig into it but is it fro the head flush? or does it use fresh water out of the tank.

The head should draft out of the lake.  Both my 280 and my 342 were set up that way.

If there is no A/C, then it should be for the head.

    Ok

I don't know if that would be a good idea.  My 280 had A/C added and they had a separate intake put in.

I would install a separate intake for the A/C, but in the same general location so you have access to both seacocks.

On my 260EC the head and AC pick ups are the same size. Theoretically you can use the same pick up as long as you don't use your head at the same time the AC is running. If the flow is low to the AC there should be protection and the compressor should shut off.

I'm not sure if air can be drawn from the head. It shouldn't if everything is working properly.

Anyhow I would rather have a dedicated pick up. There's lots of shoulds in my discussion above and something is bound to go wrong sooner or later.

    I get that now.
i am just thinking that instead of a bilge I can run the ac pic kup from the same spot in the boat. not saying same water pick up will be shared just another added in the opposite side

My AC and head water pick up are literally side by side.
