  you pull up on the tab and it releases, you push the end and it clicks in - at least that's what it did on my 226XL.

  The ebay listing is from Great Lakes Skipper. Overton's has these as well, I think for less even than GLS. But, you have to buy the pair, a lot of extra hardware. OK if you want back ups, but I think I found these somewhere on the internet where you could just buy the individual components, e.g. the bimini tube mounting piece. I'll try to find that again for you.

  FOUND IT! "ACCON MARINE" (shop.acconmarine.com) Its the 401 Quick release.
