  I took the hinges off my Rinker.  It also makes cleaning the boat and cushions easier.

  Agreed they are junk. The aluminum fatigues easily and both of mine broke at the 90 degree bend. I just removed them altogether as @Jameylee did.

  It's really junk and you need junk removal experts to get it out whether it's a cushion or anything else.

  Lots of different alum hinge types at Great Lakes Skipper. Maybe try to retrofit a more robust style of hinge.....????

  Maybe go stainless? Much stronger than aluminum.
