scuba diving.

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and I have a question. Someone I know is selling his '94 Fiesta Vee 300 (34'). I was wondering if that boat would be a good platform to scuba dive from? I haven't seen it in person yet, but I will. I have seen a lot of pictures of it. I am not talking a charter service just some recreational diving with some buddies.

Thanks for any info.

Moose
Thank You,

Fiesta Vee's and other cruisers don't really have the best layouts for dive gear and divers.   Fine boats, but I'm thinking you might need a little more space topside.  That said, I imagine you could make it work if the price is right and the boat is clean.

You might have to purchase an aftermarket swim platform. I don't believe that the Rinkers of that era had the extended platforms.

I also dive. My experience with cruiser type boats has been as long as you don't mind securing your BCD to a line and sliding out of your gear before climbing the standard swim ladder it's do-able. Good luck. -Paul
