Received a quote of $7500. from East Coast to install a bow thruster on my 2004 312. Any opinions or suggestions will be appreciated.

I have one on my 2003 312 and love it. Mine is a Vetus and was put in by the previous owner for 9k. It's helps fight the wind and allows for precision maneuvering in a crowd.Anthony Price Aprice

East coast has a good reputation. I talked to them when i was in the market a few years back and was quoted around the same for my 360 using Vetus. The price based on my research was very fair. I ended up going with an external unit i could install myself. craigswardmtb

Either way you'll be happy, and hopefully you won't need it 90% of the time. But when you do, you really appreciate it.

Well I did go with East Coast and I"m very glad I did. Joe Molinaro and his assistant did a great job of installing the Vetus 55 as well the wiring. I got a good feeling when they put down drop cloths even on my filthy cockpit deck before they started. FDNY49
