Big Orange Filter Owners - replacement carbon

Hi,

i have ave the original Big Orange Filter and I “smelled” that it’s time to change the carbon. Any owners use generic air purifying pelleted carbon instead of purchasing their replacement one?

its not a price issue as they are reasonably priced. It’s a timing issue as I need to deal with this before Memorial Day and the family arrives.

Pet store activated carbon works great.

+1 on the stuff from the pet store.  The brand I get comes in a milk carton.
