Water Leaking into Aft Cabin Question

Last week my bilge pump ran once an hour. Had a technician come track down the leak and he pointed to the through hull seacock valve for the head. Had the repair done and still taking on water...however a bit less. I still need to pull out water that is there now and test around the valve, but wondering if anyone had anything similar to look into. Any suggestions as to where to look for leaks in this area?

Did he remove, replace and reseal the valve or just seal it up while it was still in the water?

It was out of the water, but not sure if it was a remove/replace or just a tighten the bolt and reseal on top. I talked to the owner but not the mechanic, and he said they "should" have pulled it out but I'm not completely sure. Any way to check that myself?

I had mine leaking there one year, tried to seal it on top,It only slowed down the leak. Once the boat was out of the water I had it removed and resealed. You can check to see if there’s a lot of sealant around the base of the valve.

Yes, I will be looking at the sealant and talking to the mechanic! If the seacock checks out fine...do you have any other ideas where water may be coming from in the aft cabin?

If you have A/C there will be a seacock for it as well.

It does not have AC!

It's really amazing for something designed to float has so many holes in it that can leak!
