2003 342FV shower sump problems.

Shower quit draining so I checked the sump and sure enough it was working. The pump is bad. Switch is good. Pulled the whole sump out and noticed the inlet neck is cracked. Went and bought a new sump from West mating. No good. It will not fit between the stringers. So now I either have to find a pump and repair the next neck on mine or try to find one that will work. Has anybody replaced one on a 342, and if so, what did you go with?

I replaced mine but can't remember with what. I do recall that it didn't fit as good. I'll have to check this weekend when I get back up to the boat

Yup. That pump is no longer made. Tricky to find a good replacement to fit the area. I did mine last season and will get the info over the weekend.

This was a direct replacement for mine and fit fine. I have a 2006 342.

I just replaced the pump in mine.  It was an Atwood.  Got it on amazon.  But you may have a different sump/pump combination.

I saw that one and wasn't sure since the big hose inlet was on the bottom and not the top like the one I have.

Mine is an Attwood also but I can not find he same pump. It going to be trial and error trying to find one that will work and line up the outlet. I also have the issue of the cracked neck on the inlet.

Atwood Sahara s500 fit like glove in my 05 342. Just did the pump no boken neck.

Just went to Academy sports and bought an attwood Sahara 500. No where near working. Water outlet is way too high and with the pump in it the e is no room for the float switch. Guess it's time to start ordering complete sumps till I find one that will work. What a PIA. You would think this would be simple.

Assuming it's the same sump as mine you need an Atwood 750, not the 500.

The float is in that pump he must have a different set up??

@Stodge I tried both the 750 and 500. Neither one would fit. I realized they had the flat built in after I made the other post. Either way, I could not get them to work.  I am going to see how the new ones fit.

@MojosBoat in that case I'd say you have a different sump box than I do.

@Stodge I probably do. Thanks outlet hole is real low. Every pump I found outlet sits way above the hole it box. We shall see if one of the new ones work.

I got the shower fixed. New sump took care of it. Wasn't a direct replacement but with a little work I got it to work. Testing d it and it performs perfect.
I cut the mounting tabs off. Flattened out the mounting bracket on the right side a stewed it through the side of the box near the top. I didn't want the new box to hang by the clips holding the lid on. On the other side I just drilled into the top because it was pushing down on it. I'm just glad it works. Now to return the other one. 
This is the one that works with a little work.
