What is the best way to gain more access to the engine compartment in a older Rinker Captiva 21' stern drive?

You may have to be a little more clear on what you are trying to do in order to get a good answer. Other than completely removing the access hatch/cover there really isn't any other engine access on the 212 Captiva, I beleive.
