2007 Rinker 270 V horn issues

Can anyone tell me about the horn issues?  The horn worked when we pulled it out of storage.  Then is started working when it wants to and now it will not work at all.  We took it apart to see if it had bugs in it.  Used WD40 on it, sprayed it out with a hose ( these were all suggestions by people on this site)  Nothing happened.  Do I need a new horn and where can I get an original horn or is there something else I should be trying first?  Thanks for all the help we are new boat owners and are learning

I believe there are points in the horn assembly, try to lightly sand the contacts and see if that helps.

Turns out the horn was bad.  Bought one on amazon for $50 works great

what is it supposed to sound like? my 04 270 sounds like a clown car horn...LOL

The hand horns work well until the kids are playing on the boat and find them.  I should have never taken my kid to a hockey game.  Using an air horn to scare other boaters is grounds for major punishment.  Using the air horn to scare my little sister walking on the dock gets a high 5.

When anything electrical stops working I check the breaker first. The horn on my boat stopped working last week and a tap on the breaker made it work. Since this is one of the few factory installed breakers I had, I replaced it with a new Blue Sea Systems breaker. Just a few of the old breakers left to replace on non-critical equipment, like the windshield wiper!
