2008 260 Express Cruiser question

 I have a spring loaded pedestal table in cabin that converts to v-berth bed. When pushing down table to bed height I cannot find a locking mechanism to prevent it from springing up (with a lot of force). Is there a trick or method to lock in place in bottom (bed) position ? Thanks

There should be a handle that turns to lock it in place. It’s the bottom one in the picture.
