7.4 MPI question

so my brother in law has twin 7.4 mpi inboards.

he called me yesterday and said that his port side engine stopped making the double beep when ignition key/button was turned on.
 his starboard did the double beep but both started up without any issues besides that.

he took the boat out and after some time
he started getting a beep beep beep sound coming from one of the engines.
it wasn’t a constant buzzer but a beep few seconds apart.

he told me all Gages looked great and his boat ran great.

any ideas?
i am out of town and this is my trouble shoot for
now lol

I had something similar motor started and ran fine no beep till we went above 2500 rpm then a beep every 60 seconds shut it off and it reset till the 2500 rpm .I couldn't figure it out took it to the shop and they replaced the neutral safety switch and that fixed it >I would think that would have nothing to do with the motor while it was running ,but I guess it did

maybe a bad oil pressure sensor or a leak.
