New light for back of the boat

Hey guys any clue on what light i need for the one on the back of the boat. When we were coming in on the 4th that light didn't work completely dark on the back. I took it off but it needs replaced the light part just crumbled. This is for a 2002 342 fv...thanks

Are you sure the light on the transom is a nav light?  

Check the white light on the mast up on your radar arch.  Can you see it from directly behind the boat?   If yes, then it's an all-around light.  The light at the transom is not a nav light ... it's just a courtesy light for illuminating the swim platform. 

These days, any time somebody is replacing a nav light, I'd recommend installing an LED because they are more reliable.

Yea the transom light is nice to have to light the swim platform but it’s not a nav light, make sure there is a white light on a post on top of your arch

@icoultha. Yup thanks man that looks nice i think that will work.

Works well for me, just make sure the top snaps on well, I had one pop off as they are a snug fit but Attwood sent me another. And being LED remember polarity is important.
