Calrion M455 and iPod

Wondering if anyone has the Clarion M455 radio in their boat and has any suggestions as to how to use your iPod with it. When I connect my iPod to the aux input I only get sound out of the 2 cabin speakers

Thanks -

Dennis

@MTFD116 ... Hopefully that's a simple programming issue... manual for that device is attached in case you don't have it.

Capt - thank you - I do have the manual. I did look to see if there was anything I was doing wrong in terms of setup but there is no information relative to the iPod. Going to play with some of the buttons this weekend and see what I can find out.

    Thanks again

It really has nothing to do specifically with the iPod if you are using the AUX In RCA connections on the M455 head unit.  You are only sending left and right 2-channel audio to the head unit.  Do you have an auxiliary amp?  Do you get sound out of the other speakers when using a different source (ie. cd, radio, etc.)?  Is your FADER set properly?

When I had the 455 I bought the CNet cord for the back of the head unit.  Much better sound quality and you can contol the stereo through the remotes.
