Power loss

Took my Rinker 310 out on Thursday and it ran great and we have had zero issues all summer.  Boat (Merc 5.0s with 400 hrs) and generator were running at dock.  I was preparing to depart and I had to re start the engine. Turned genny off. The Boat acted fine getting to the lake but after arrival I accelerated to get on plane and had a power loss around 3k rpm and the boat plowed.  We heard a ping a few times on acceleration from the swim platform area. Boats never overheated and gauges are spot on. Fuel filter was changed 2017. Any thoughts?

Make sure you don’t have something wrapped up in your props.

Never heard a lot of differing opinions on filters... Every year and so much is ruled out as a problem.

Hmm, doesn't guardian mode limit you to 3k RPM?  It could be stuck in guardian mode.
