Does anyone know how I can remove the bottom step in my cabin to better access my head's sump pump and forward bilge pump?

I think if you look in the porthole you’ll see strips of wood screwed, securing the steps.

I was able to replace my bilge pump and sump pump through the hole, the sump just fits through. You can also remove the plastic trim that’s in place to give you a little more room.
