slots at top or bottom when mounted?

Attached is a photo of the metal frame that surrounds the ice maker on a 2004 342FV.  There are two slots at one end of the frame.  Do those two slots go on the top or the bottom when the frame is mounted on the boat?  Not near the boat to test it.  The ice maker went bad and am turning this into storage with a custom made door.

They go at the top. FWIW I would repair or replace the ice maker, removing it will make your boat much less desirable when you go to sell it and every other 342 has an ice maker.

I agree my ice maker gets used all the time. Very nice feature.

If i was in a slip this is what id want.  I like the big ice cubes for my coolers but for cocktails its hard to beat the soft ice or ice nuggets.  Cleaning a blender on board is a pita.

IMO coolers take up way too much space. I love my ice maker and I use my blender all the time. I would never remove my ice maker but hey 2 each his own......lol

You cant pull off the true off shore fisherman look without a yeti.  The fine print also states that once the yeti is purchased the new owner can't afford beer or fuel to go offshore fishing.

We anchor out all weekend and i dont want to run the geneator no stop so coolers are a way of life.

My new center console came with a Yeti from the factory.  Explains why the boat cost so much.

I have an 11 ft jon boat, 50s or 60s vintage i use as a dingy for my sailboat.  I can probably increase the value by 75% by adding a yeti cooler.
