@diggin2day1 have you ever done a set of crescent shaped steps that extend all the way to the head wall?
I haven’t made a set for the Rinkers, but I can… do you mean to just extend the shape of the existing steps to meet the wall? Would just need a measurement from the edge of the step to that wall.
If the steps extend to far from the centerline you may have issues of flex on the mount since the arm is now increased and creating more torque from the center.
I wouldn’t be concerned about stainless baseplate, it extends almost the width of the step and is fairly thick. I wouldn’t be concerned about the 2” thick cherry either. The welds connecting the baseplate to the stanchion might be the weak link… here’s the best picture I could find:
