Sounds similar to mine Michael. But on our last trip we had to cruise on plane at 4000 rpm because we were hauling so much stuff, full gas tanks, full water plus another 5 gallons, 4 gallons spring water, 2 cases beer, 6 cases diet coke, clothes for allssible weather conditions, etc... On the way home it was closer to normal as we drank and ate and burned up a lot ofte fuel.

I have the same boat as ODNT, 4000rpm with full fuel, water & everything else. Clean props & 1/2 fuel, etc, 3750rpm's, less than that the boat falls off plain & I'm constantly adjusting

Great Info.  Very similar to my twin 5.0L 270hp 320.  1.0-1.1 MPG at 3900. 29 mph' ish
