Yes, there is a cap.  They call it the luxury tax.  There's only a handful of teams with bottomless pockets.  The Yankees, and Dodgers are the big two, and I fully enjoyed watching them LOSE.  
Three players earning over $300 million in contracts now in the MLB.  It's pretty sickening.  The game has changed SO much in the past 3 years.  The "shift" has changed how defense is played for every player.  And nobody bunts anymore, to advance a runner!  It drives me absolutely insane, to watch a man on base, and some guy could be bunting, but nope......homeruns fill the stadiums!

That first base call was unfortunate.  I get that it's a judgment call, but he picked a bad time to make a controversial "could have gone either way" call.  Nobody wants to see the umpires get that involved in a game.  

And the 8-minute delay, on a call that's not reviewable?  Seriously?

He was on the wrong side of the line.

Not when he got to the bag.  The problem is that the throw was offline.  The first baseman had to stick his glove into the base path trying to make the catch.  His glove hit Turner, and the ump called interference.  

I guess a no-call would have caused the same amount of controversy.

well, either way, I'm just glad the call really didn't make the game decision.  It was great to see Rendon make that home right afterwards!

Everyone here is just stunned.  That series was amazing!  Anthony "Tony Two-Bag" Rendon and Howie Kendrick ... just wow.  And the umpires managed to stay below the radar for Game 7.

Yes Redon and Kendrick really had some great hits just when they were needed!  Fantastic series!  Only recent one I can think of that was more exciting was the Indians/Cubs (except Indians lost).
