I have 2 batteries. The switch has an off and on position and does not indicate which is battery 1 or 2. It has an emergency start area with 2 positions. The emergency start is written between the 2 positions. How do I switch to the second battery?
I just bought this boat last September. Is there an operators manual.
I have been reading a lot of the dialogue.....very helpful,
Thanks

off
battery one
battery two
both batteries
grab your multimeter... turn it to continuity check.. place a lead on the battery cable, and a lead on the alternator wire... when the battery you've touched lead to and the alternator indicate continuity, and the other battery doesn't indicate continuity, mark your switch in that position as that batteries position..
flip the switch to another position and repeat...
one of those positions are going to indicate continuity for both batteries- that would be your 'both batteries' position, or what a lot of switches refer to as 'emergency crank'..
hope this helps.. :-)

Thank you all for the help. Sorry I was slow to reply. Was away for a few days.
I will do the continuity check next time out.
