Recommend a tube?

My kiddo wanted the motor boat to tube behind.  I borrowed this sort of sit on float that my dad had and the kids (11 and 7) both kept saying faster and faster.  Within seconds of hitting the 30 mph range both kiddos were crying and wanted nothing more to do with the large floating love seat looking towable.  Growing up, my dads bass boat would tow us 55 mph and we still wanted to go faster.  We had round tubes and if you hit wake(we looked for wake to bring us airborne) we would go flying but the impact wasn't harsh.  What fun/some what comforable tubes on the market would you guys recommend?

I remember the days we'd use a tractor tire tube in the snow.  & yes, most of them had a patch on them and were out of a neighbors tractor!  Man did they work great!  you hit a small bump and you sure got a bounce!

I have bought a couple of the three person tubes, Costco sold them, big and stable, and acts as a floating island for sun bathing. The down side is what to do with it when your not using it, so just make sure you have a high speed pump so you inflate and deflate as required.

Also, just for fun look up O'brian barf ball. Never tried one but always looked like fun!

The Connelly Swept wing type tubes are great. They tow great, sling great, and are easy to roll while riding.

Kids?  Uhh, no.  For drunk and consenting adults, wow!  But I'd make them sign a waiver that would be more binding than "watch this, hold my beer."

Manta Ray made by Sevylor. They were around from 2005 to about 2010 or so. Marine store here had one hanging on the wall for a couple yrs. Thought about buying it back then but our kids were to small. Wish we had it now. Imagine it would be a blast done properly.

I hate heights...even in my heavy drinking early 20s i wouldnt have gotten on one. I've hit the water hard enough on a knee board to bruise multiple times, i couldn't imagine doing ir from 20 plus feet at 30 plus mph.

I've seen one in action. Never. The issue is that at height it doesn't matter how well the boat is controlled, a sudden side wind or a wave causing a jerk on the tow rope and the thing goes into a death spiral.
