No, they aren’t a Rinker dealer anymore unfortunately. I got it from Walker Marine Sales who’s relatively new (2-3 years now). Great guy and got a great deal. He really looked after me!

It is really quite the boat.......I suppose I could buy one but would spend so much time working to pay for it, I'd never get to use it.

That's nice Wildstyle, was it your choice to go with the Simrad electronics or was that how the boat was spec'd.

It was my choice vs the Raymarine. I went with it because the dealer highly recommended going with Simrad over Raymarine. It’s a faster processor, better user interface and just all around better. I got it with the remote control as well, because a touch screen can be kind of challenging to use if it’s choppy water so I have the option. It also beautifully integrates the stereo controls within so the dash looks cleaner.

@Wildstyle , next to your captains seat, above the armrest, what’s the white panel with the knob ?

That’s the remote control for the Simrad displays...it’s a knob with buttons to control each screen if you don’t want to use the touch panel option or if it’s too choppy.

I was told today that the boat left the factory today and it’ll be at the dealer by the end of this week! That means I can go see it this weekend - woohoo! I will post pics of cabin after.

Excited for you! So your in Canada, where will you be boating and how long will your season be?
  • WillhoundWillhound Member Posts: 4,241 ✭✭✭✭✭
@rasbury I'm sure @Wildstyle will answer but he's only a couple of hours west of me and ice is already forming on the lakes. He gets to sit in it and make motorboat noises for the next 5 or 6 months. Pure torture.

@rasbury - we’re on Lake Huron. The season is from May 15 to Oct 15 roughly. The start of season depends on weather...could be late April if it’s nice. After Oct 15 the power and water supply is shut off and docks come out.

@Willhound lol!! You made me laugh...but I’ve been working on my motorboat sounds and I think I have it just right. It’ll seem so real! ;)

Little tougher to make that sound of two big blocks! :)  But, you'll get your share of practice!  gotta be exciting!!

We used to have a cottage on Lake Huron, lots of rough cold deep water. You will need that big boat for those waters. There was a large reef just down from us at Point Clark that many years ago ruined a lot of vessels

Haha, there was a delay in transport. Apparently the trucking company didn’t have an Ontario permit so it’s going to be delivered tomorrow or Tuesday I’m told. I’ll have pics ASAP!! :)

Congrats. That is a beautiful boat. I wouldn't mind ending up in a craft like that. Some day...
