Looks great, will definitely help with the sun and keep things cool. I spoke to someone who had their windshield tinted on his 340 SR, he loved it but said he lost a lot of vision at night.
That was my concern as well. This is a premium tint, so I am told. It blocks the light from coming in but has little effect on looking out. Much like a two sided mirror. I was there and saw little change in view from the center window tinted and the windshield clear.
@johnep -- Was the tint applied to the exterior of the window? It'll be interesting to know how that's going to hold up to the elements and windshield wiper use from scratches, etc.
Yeah, a tint wouldn't work for me because I do a lot of night cruising. I'll be interested to hear your comments after the first time you try it at night.
That was the installer with the tee shirt on. But it does get warm in there...too warm at times. He cut the tint by the outside and then installed it inside. I will report back on my first night cruise. I can say looking in its very dark, looking out is pretty clear.
I guess if it's too dark I can lift the bolster or stand and look over it. I have the spot light and travel at speeds that are safe, plus my top has clear windows so either way I think I will be fine.
Looks great, and you will love it. I did mine last Spring. I do zero boating at night, but I really like the improvement it game me for sunlight, and reducing a TON of glare.
Ahhhh.. you will be removing the front tint after the first cruise lol. if you had a 10inch wind breaker on a off shore style boat it’s cool. in a cruiser It’s totally useless and dangerous. you will see how bad the visibility is even during the day.
