How long would it take for the entire boating world to stop using compound and wax if something truly better came along? A month? Let's see where this product is a month from now.
I had my boat and my cars done in ceramic, a huge improvement and coverage lasts a long time. The water continues to bead and there's an incredible shine. I have a booster application once a year. My boat is 1999 in lake Michigan.
Looks like Turtle Wax Ceramic was the best and it's in a spray bottle so it's easy to apply to a boat, still need to see if it's ok on gelcoat. Anyone have any updates on the ceramic coatings they have put on. I am really wanting to make cleaning a little easier and get a good coat of something on to protect it so I can more easily wipe off stains mostly from spiders and birds.
nothing beads like ceramic... or at least nothing like i've seen. water literally jumps off it.
not being sarcastic, either.
compound, polish, wax... then ceramic. i re-spray and wipe it down after every outing. it takes all of 10 minutes on my lil' 212. i do the same to the inside every other outing.
So far I just use star Brite soap which has some wax and then a spray bottle of speed detailer from 303 I believe. Boats in the water so kinda difficult to really buff it, when it comes out in the fall I will do a thorough cleaning.
I just used west marine all purpose cleaner today which worked wonders on all the spider 💩 stains that were all over the port side.
I just ordered some of the Griots ceramic myself. Got it from Advanced Auto Parts. I was able to find a 25% discount code and got it for $16.00 delivered to my door for the 32oz spray. Not a bad deal at all. The code I used is DRE3BX. Not sure how long that code is good for or if it can be used more than once but it is worth a shot.

Exactly what I've done with awesome results.....seriously.
Used Meguiars products for annual polish/buffing session: Flagship Premium Wax Flagship Premium Cleaner/wax (bought by accident this year - result was incredible) Whenever I felt like it I used Flagship Detailer to wipe down the boat. Awesome.
This season switched to the new Meguiars Ceramic Spray Wax & Meguiars Ceramic Spray Detailer for in season clean ups.
Literally perfect condition. Did an online chat with Meguiars about using their ceramic waxes & detailers on gelcoat. They said zero issues....go at it.
Can do the hull sides in just over a half hour. Boat is indoor rack stored.
I will try this on the front of my RV. Maybe the bugs will come off easier. Getting ready for a long trip up to see @randy56 and @Alswagg and @brandonmayberry.

Wax a clean gelcoat hull with that stuff, and maybe we'll take a few seconds off the plane time! LOL.
