This guy has some excellent Youtube stuff too especially on the Trent-Severn system where we are. He's gotten a little more commercial and pushes his DVD's etc, but hey, apparently he now makes a living from it, so good for him.

This couple is pretty interesting they are in Seattle area. You can read a little about them on their website and check-out their progression on YouTube to now living aboard there Nordhavn. This is our plan to live aboard part time, however I'm sure it will be delayed now. We'll upgrade our boat of course, a 280EC would definitely not work.

I will definitely check those out. We would also like to buy an express cruiser to use as a lake home. That's probably a few years away, though.

We have been looking at Grand Banks 36-42. I guess the prices will be coming down hopefully our pay doesn't go down as well. The express cruiser would be great as a "lake home" for the week or weekends just need one at least mid 30s in my opinion. We plan to cruise the San Juans and north into Canada so we need something for open water ocean.

@RiverRat232 Thanks.  I have seen those, but it's been awhile!   My Grandpa helped build Glen Canyon Dam.  He was a Carpenters Foreman, that built the massive forms to pour all that concrete. It was a 3 year, CONTINUOUS pour.  Once you start, you cannot stop, or it won't cure properly.  He would live up there for 3 months, then come home for 1 month.  Building a Dam of that size is a massive undertaking.

Look up Motorboatin’ in Laman’s Terms. He is a Rinker 270 owner. They trailer that boat all over. They even did the Miami to Bimini trip in the 270.

This is the marina about 30 minutes from me that had a wave come through from a ship in the river and do some serious damage. It is a very nice marina and well protected. I noticed the wind and currents were favoring the wave to push into the marina. They did identify the ship and are investigating it.

Yea, happened a while ago. Watch this video on it. They don’t show the damage but it left prop gouges all along the hull.
