Bathroom overhead light bulb

Does anyone know of a LED equivalent for the overhead light bulb in the bathroom? My fluorescent bulb seems very dim. I would think this bulb is the same in most of the boats.

Look up T5 LED light. I think that may be the correct one.

Methinks that if you find one it'll likely be cheaper to change the whole fixture.

Yes I’m replacing the fixture with a motion activated light. My little guy is too short to reach that light!

I should’ve measured the length. Do you think it’s 2 feet or shorter?

I like it! I hate having to contort to turn on the head light.

I believe it’s 11” between the holes. I’m going to mount the amazon light on a piece of 1/4” starboard to utilize the original mount holes. Tried to find a bigger light fixture but no dice.

Sorry didn’t mean it that way just been around boats a long time and my old man always called it a head even on land ........ he also told me the difference between a yacht and a boat ..... if you own a yacht you hire someone to work on it  if you do the work then you own a boat

I own a boat and sometimes my "head" is the swim deck. 

I was joking about the rich comment but after @GMSLITHO brought that up it was funny to me now referring to it as a bathroom.

We are all hard workers otherwise we wouldn't be on here researching a light bulb or how to connect a switch etc...,

I switched out the fixtures in the head for LED fixtures I found on an RV site.  Always thought they were too big and ugly.

I think someone on the forum installed a switch at a lower level also, I can’t remember who did it?

I asked about it but after taking a look at the head and surrounding area I gave up on the idea.

So that would be a 12V bulb though....so your not getting that at the home depot?

Rinker did a lot of great things with the 330 but that overhead light with no wall mount switch (ideally outside the head) was pretty lame.

Maybe that’s what I’m thinking of.

Rather than mess with the fluorescent and fumble around with a switch in the dark I installed one of these. Motion sensor and light sensor so only comes on if dark. Batteries have lasted me two seasons now. Can still turn on fluorescent too for extra light if needed. Under $20. Only complaint is the light is only on for 20 seconds but as soon as you move at all it comes back on. Can also set switch to full on but have to remember to turn it off again. But good for longer "jobs" in the head.

I am doing this. F that rewiring to get a LED fluorescent to work. It will stick to the existing fixture and is much easier.

I converted both of mine (head and shower) over to LED.  Was an easy conversion.  Only issue with mine is that it does interfere with the radio.  But, it doesn't interfere with it when it's on Sirius or the pirate station, so it's fine.
