We looked at a new Cruisers when considering the EC 360 as the dealer sold both brands. The Cruisers "new" was way too expensive with basically the same equipment. However, IMO, you have done it the right way .....gently used. no question that 390 will last a long time and is certainly capable of open water cruising. There was one in Turks&Caicos so there was certainly some big open water cruising involved there.

The thing I like the most about it is the seat next to the helm.. that's pretty neat!

I'm both envious and excited with your new purchase! Certainly out of reach for me but if my lotto tickets hit tonight I might scoop that from underneath you before you take delivery! Just kidding...congrats and hope you and your family have years of enjoyment ahead of you.

Hey thanks gang, super excited to get her home in a few weeks. Agree MT I can’t imagine paying for this thing brand new and to think SR are even more brand new. Jeff yea that seat that converts both in to a setee and or day bed was a real winner for us.

River Rat, this is a great place to cruise. We have a very nice marina 5 min from home but we drive an hour to the boat just to be able to hit the islands and cruising spots quick. Places to go:

    Islands:
    Put in Bay (a must)
kelleys island (laid back version of above)
    Peelee Island (our favorite)

    Mainland:
Cedar Point (we are in our 40s and love it, have season passes)
Downtown Sandusky public marina (downtown Sandusky is very cool now, major changes)

Now I have to warn you that currently cedar point and the islands are closed to visitors and the word right now is that it may stay that way well in to the summer. I’ll be happy to keep you posted on what is and what is not open. Usually by now folks have already gone to the islands and they are closed to anyone who does not live on the island now.

@Liberty44140 ....smart to drive. We have a slip at our condo which we rent out now and did even when we had our EC310 and EC360 because it was a 60 minute cruise to the best islands in the St.Lawrence (then back). Why waste large amounts of expensive marine gas when we could drive to a marina in 20 minutes that was right where we wanted to start cruising!

@Liberty44140. Thanks. We go there usually once a year. The last few times was camping at South Bass State Park. I would like to island hop and maybe stay a night at Cedar Point marina. We love the area. Hopefully, this Covid thing goes away soon.
