Rug Backing

Cockpit rugs are in good shape on top but coming apart on the bottom. Too many other projects to buy new this year. Tried fiber lock non skid rug backing. Paint it on in two light coats and seems to work well. Mesh backing is reattached now where it was loose. My concern it sticking to the non skid. I’ll let you know how it holds up.  2/3 of a gallon did all cockpit carpets on my 310 FV

I tried a similar product and it worked for the season with a re-coat the following. The key is to get ALL the old off as it will makes the new come off also. After a couple of seasons it was time for new carpet but went MarineMat instead.

If I can get two seasons out of it I will be thrilled. Vacuumed back with beater bar vac to remove as much of old backing. Hoping it was enough.
