Microwave Lock

We always see the posts on "where can I find the microwave turntable" and it's usually because the door flew open on a bad bounce and it flew out and broke. I've had my door come open several times and the glass turntable flew out once, but luckily did not break. If I see rough weather and no choice but to get back to port I've even removed it and stowed it.
When looking at other FV270's online to see current values (for my insurance thread) I came across the first pic. That's good redneck thinking right there! But then it made me think that there must be more elegant ways of achieving the same idea. Then it hit me...child safety locks like the second pic. Cheap and easy to install. It's for an oven but should work. There are similar designs that use a small strap that should fit under the top trim. Pic 3. Will be ordering one.

@Willhound , great post! I’m going to do the child safety lock! Or something similar. I already lost the glass turntable the first week I owned my 330 !!

Yeah, I saw those also. Going to take a look when I'm at work tomorrow (unfortunately our little hardware store is considered "essential") as I think we stock a few different styles including that one. Want to make sure it fits behind the trim piece.

The problem with mine is that the microwave door butts up to the coffee maker.  A strap would have to go all the way across the coffee maker, probably 5 inches.
