2016 Rinker 342 QL bow thruster issues

I can only use bow thruster for several times when engine on and the bow thruster will stop working until wait for charging 20 mins or half an hour.   Anybody know should I change the wire connection or add/replace bigger battery for bow thruster. I do need the bow thruster stand by when in the crowd lock and not only use couple of times then go suck.

@liuxue2010 , how long are you using the thruster until it turns off? Could the bow thruster be timing out due to overheating? Once it cools it comes back on? I don’t have a thruster but think they’re only supposed to be used in short bursts.

The Vetus bow thruster on my boat has a duty cycle of 4 minutes per hour. It will turn itself off if overheating. This feature is usually used to make me look like a real idiot while docking when windy.

Also if you’re battery is now 5 years old you should replace it.
