Wires hanging in engine compartment

Does anyone with a 400 know where this is supposed to be mounted it is just hanging port side engine compartment and it has two red wires not connected.

Mine looks the same in my 08 330. I don’t understand why Rinker installed it like that!

Yeah, not sure why it is that way.  Although you shouldn't have wires not connected

Power for an unused Accessory switch somewhere? Just a guess.

The wiring in my 320 is very sloppy. I think that is just a Rinker thing. I was doing some work on a friends Sea ray and everything is neatly tucked into looms and very professional. If I have time when I retire I would like to straighten up some of that dogs breakfast.

I guess it's reasons like that SeaRay cost more.

Rinker pre-wired for most options & accessories. So if you purchased said options from a dealer or install yourself post boat leaving factory it's already wired for ease of install, plug-n-play. Most wires are labeled. Labels tend to fall off of wires in engine compartment over time

Just for giggles have you put a volt meter or test light on them to see if any current?

For some reason that’s how they did it.

Flux capacitor connection....my wiring is all in looms in the engine compartment...everything I see is pretty tidy...

Same on my 330 except for this relay block.

Here's the best photo I've got of the area.  I don't have that relay block right on top of my ground block, but looks like it might be up higher just out of the picture.

I cleaned mine up a little, tucked it up and tie wrapped it higher.

I’m going to test those loose wires then tie it up like you did. Very concerning since it looks like one of the wires was connected in the corner but couldn’t find where it came from.

I did have 12 volts going to one of the red wires.
