Raising helm seat

Greetings All;
I hope this day find everyone doing well.
I was wondering if anyone has raised their helm seat....I would like to do this to gain better visibility without
having to stack cushions. We have a 2004 FV 270.

Wow....how did you secure the 2X4s?

I used long bolts and drilled through the wood

I did it easy fix I took off the seat and used 2X 4 then covered it with starboard big improvement

If you cant get starboard you can also cover those treated 2x4s with marine vinyl or sumbrella material.  Stainless t50 staples will make quick work of it and can be placed where you cannot see them. 

The starboard will me much easier to keep clean.

Still not clear on how you secured the wood 2x4 on to the helm base?

You could also use aluminium c channel.
