I am replacing my steering wheel but can’t get the collar off. I have a puller but it wont budge. Am I missing something?

It should pull off, maybe try some penetration oil on it.

I only had wd40 and tried that. Will pick up some penetrating oil. So there’s no trick to it It should pull off.

Should just pull off. Mine is a splined shaft, yours looks like a tapered shaft with a key. It’s probably just stuck on good. What type of puller are you using?

If the oil doesn’t work try a torch to heat it up.

Hammer some wooden wedges under the collar then put the nut back on slightly then hit the stud with a hammer and it should pop right off
