@YYZRC , how do your props look? I remember when I went on sea trial, I heard a noise that I wasn’t sure if it was the port gimbal bearing or the props. This season the noise is gone with the new Hill props.
If you can narrow down the side, swap the props and see if the sound follows. If you have the tools, you can remove the props in the water, not 100% as easy as swapping them on land though.
@aero3113 swap the props?? 1 is a left prop and the other is a right prop. Can't swap them the boat would go backwards............lol
Swap them from drive to drive, doesn’t matter.
Sorry bro but it matters. Port engine spins in one direction and S/B spins in the other direction.
I have to disagree on that. Both engines rotate the same direction. If it was inboards, different story. That’s why both engines have the same ID for Vissel View, and you have to change the ID. No difference.
YYZ are you sure that it’s not just rpm out of sync? When rpm is out of sync you will have a totally normal waaaa waaa waaa and speed of the noise depends on how out of sync they are

I have the digital rpm on VV and they were within 25 rpm of each other. Is that enough of a difference to cause vibration and droning?

no, that is not enough difference to have that symptom.
