Cabin Refrigerator

I have a 2003 RINKER 342 FIESTA VEE. THE cabin refrigerator was working when I purchased the boat last year but not now. I pulled the fridge out and it was wired to the AC power through the refrigerator circuit board. The DC power cords were not attached. I swapped this and attached DC power direct into the Danfoss controller and the refrigerator came on and began cooling. I tested the AC wires coming in and out from the circuit board to the controller - good power going into the circuit board, and there seemed to be some energy coming out of the circuit board but not enough to kick on the fridge.
How should this be wired so that I can have the refrigerator use both AC and DC power?
Does is also sound like my circuit board is bad?
