Options for Downsizing

Don't panic, just an exercise in future thinking. Still love my 270 and had always thought of going bigger of course. But logically, within a few years there is likely retirement and a move coming in our lives and the areas we are looking at are mostly smaller water bodies. So considering going back to a trailer boat. The 232/242 Captiva models might fit. As much as I like extended stays on the water, the Admiral not so much. So an overnighter or odd weekend.
Can anyone with experience in these models answer the following?
1) I understand there is a Porta-pottie option. Where is it located? Can it be converted to a fixed option. (There's legalities around alcohol on a boat and having a pump out head in Canada)
2) Did any of them have an option for a permanently mounted grill/cooktop? (As above)
Any other models to consider? Some of the newer MTX models might work, not sure they're in the budget.
