Remember to replace your fuel filters!!

My coworker was having issues with his ‘03 270. His RPM’s kept cutting off on him. I asked him when was the last time your in-line fuel filter and engine fuel filter were changed? He said he never did! He’s owned the boat 3 seasons! Who knows when the previous owner changed them! Look at the crap that came out of the in-line filter and the element was all loose inside. Crazy!

You might want to tell him to order some injectors too.

Yikes. I changed mine when I bought the boat and every season after. This year it's getting two replacements because of the bad fuel I got over the winter.

If that crap got past the filter, amazed it would run at all...

Does that every year include the expensive filters in the cool fuel module, or just the spin on kind?

As far as I know and have been down this rabbit hole, our 06 350 mpi does not have the cool fuel filter.

I've been wanting to change mine also, but so far haven't located a filter anywhere besides the spin on filter/water seperator mounted beside the block on my 2000 5.7L Gen +. I change that every year. Have also checked various parts diagrams online and can't find anything else in-line either?

@Willhound , I don’t have in-line filters on 330 either. Just the cool fuel module filters.

I do not have anything on my 04 270 other than the fuel/water separator filter either

My boat has both in-line and cool fuel. Looks original but ???

My 02 270 only had the spin on and my 342 just has the cool fuel x2 at 60 bucks each

my 270 has the inline only and it is mounted on the stringer at the edge of the tank ( bad location) and I have the fuel water separator and as far as I know, that's all that I have...

My 330 appears to only have the cool fuel modules.
